Job summary

Tkil is seeking a Detail Mechanical Designer to support boiler revamp and retrofit projects. You will prepare GA, layout and fabrication-ready drawings for pressure parts, piping, and supports, based on modified layouts and design requirements.

You will also conduct drawing reviews, site visits for reverse engineering, collect as-built data, and coordinate with process, structural, and erection teams to ensure quality and site feasibility.

Qualifications

• Experience creating GA and fabrication-ready drawings for boiler components.
• Ability to review drawings and ensure accuracy.
• Experience with revamp or retrofit projects preferred.
• Site visits for reverse engineering and data collection.
• Coordinate with process, structural, and erection teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare GA, layout and fabrication drawings for pressure and non-pressure parts.
• Review and check drawings for accuracy.
• Estimate pre-order costs, ME, BOQ, and feasibility studies.

Detailing Mechanical Designer Boiler Revamp & Retrofit Projects

• We are seeking a skilled Detailing Mechanical Designer to support the Pre & Post order revamp and retrofit of CFBC, AFBC, WHRB, TG and PC-fired boilers.
• The candidate will be responsible for preparing GA, layout & fabrication-ready drawings for pressure parts, non-pressure parts, piping, and support structures based on modified layouts and design requirements.
• Drawing review & checking.
• Candidate will be responsible for pre order estimation/ME/BOQ/ and feasibility check/study for various revamp enquiry.
• The role involves periodic site visits for reverse engineering, as-built data collection, and interface verification with existing installations.
• The engineer will ensure that all detailing work reflects site constraints and is coordinated across process, structural, and erection teams.
• A strong understanding of boiler components, fabrication practices is essential.
• The candidate must be proactive in managing drawing revisions, integrating site feedback, and ensuring quality and accuracy in deliverables.
• Tool – Auto Cad, Excel, 3D modelling software (Tekla, Component modelling etc.)
