Job summary

National Power Engineering Company in Siliguri is seeking a detailing engineer to prepare Fabrication, shop, and erection drawings for steel structures such as gantries and bridges. You will develop drawings from GA inputs, client specs, and IS standards.

You will coordinate with design engineers and workshop teams, revise drawings per feedback, and ensure timely submission. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Tekla Structures is required, with strong attention to revision control and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed fabrication, shop, and erection drawings for steel structures (gantries, bridges, formwork).
• Develop drawings from approved GA drawings, design inputs, and client specs.
• Prepare part drawings, assembly drawings, cutting lists, and BOM for workshop execution.
• Coordinate with design engineers, project team, and Siliguri workshop to ensure drawing accuracy.
• Revise drawings per client comments, site inputs, and internal review feedback.
• Ensure drawings comply with IS standards, quality norms, and project requirements.
• Support fabrication and machining teams by resolving drawing-related issues.
• Maintain drawing control, revision history, and documentation.
• Assist in preparation of as-built drawings after project completion.
• Use detailing software such as AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, or equivalent.
• Ensure timely submission of drawings to avoid delays in fabrication and dispatch.
