Oriental Consultants India Pvt. Ltd. invites applications for a Design Steel Bridge Engineer role for the PMC project related to Western Dedicated Freight Corridor.

The position demands a Civil Engineering degree and a minimum of 6 years total experience in bridge/structural design for railways, with preference for Indian Railways/Metro familiarity. The incumbent will vet and approve contractor designs, oversee steel structures, and ensure compliance with PMC requirements.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering is required.
• Minimum 6 years total experience in Bridge/Structural design for railways.
• 8 years in execution of works in similar position.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for vetting and approving the Bridge and structure designs submitted by the Contractors and to perform all duties of the Bridge Design Engineer as per the PMC Agreement.
• Post-qualification experience required in civil execution construction in railways projects, especially in steel structures.
• Experience in Indian Railway/Metro Project in India will be preferred.
• More than 3 years in inspection of steel structures, construction, installation, repair of steel structures, fabrication of steel frames, bolting girders, and installation of steel bars.

Job description

Project Name: Project Management Consultancy Services (PMC) for Construction of Double line electrified Railway Track with signalling and telecommunication system and related infrastructure for the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor Project.

Functional Area: Design Steel Bridge Engineer

Location: Noida, Uttar Pradesh

Duration: 12 months

Qualification: Minimum B.E./B.Tech. (Civil Engineering).

Overall Professional Experience: The Candidate Shall have minimum 6 years’ of total experience in the relevant Bridge/Structural Designing works preferably on IR/Metro and / or other railway projects.

Experience in similar position: 8 years’ experience in execution of works related assigned position.

Preferred Age: Below 40 years.

Functional Role: Responsible for vetting and approving the Bridge and structure designs submitted by the Contractors and to do all such acts and duties of the Bridge Design Engineer that are required as per the PMC Agreement. Post Qualification Experience required in civil execution construction in railways projects, especially in steel structures. Experience in Indian Railway/Metro Project in India will be preferred. More than 3 years especially in inspection of Steel Structures, construct, install, and repair steel structures, fabricate steel frames, place and bolt girders together, and install steel bars etc. are required.
