Job summary

Mace is seeking an experienced Design Manager Systems for the NDLS project in New Delhi. The role focuses on leading the design management, review, coordination and delivery of ELV, ICT systems across the project lifecycle.

The incumbent will coordinate with Architectural, Structural, MEP and Specialist teams, ensure design governance, and drive timely submissions while mitigating design risks and maintaining quality standards for rail and related commercial buildings.

Qualifications

• 15 years overall experience in relevant fields.
• Minimum 3 years in a similar role.
• Minimum 6 years of eligible project experience in Rail, Metro, Airport, Hotel/Hospitality, or Commercial Building projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design development and management of Systems/ELV packages from concept through detailed design.
• Review consultant and contractor design submissions for compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, MEP, and Specialist Design Teams for integrated solutions.
• Review system architecture, network topology, equipment schedules, specifications and calculations.
• Ensure designs meet client requirements, standards, regulations and project specs.
• Conduct design workshops, reviews, VE sessions and coordination meetings.
• Monitor design deliverables and ensure timely submission aligned with project schedules.
• Identify design risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals and technical documents.
• Support procurement through technical evaluations and vendor assessments.

Required experience:-

• Overall Experience: 15 Years
• Similar Position Experience: Minimum 3 Years
• Eligible Project Experience: Minimum 6 Years in Rail, Metro, Airport, Hotel/Hospitality, or Commercial Building Projects.

Role & responsibilities:-

• Lead the design development and management of Systems/ELV packages from concept through detailed design stages.
• Manage and review consultant and contractor design submissions for compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, MEP, and Specialist Design Teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Review system architecture, network topology, equipment schedules, specifications, and design calculations.
• Ensure designs comply with client requirements, international standards, local regulations, and project specifications.
• Conduct design workshops, technical reviews, value engineering sessions, and coordination meetings.
• Monitor design deliverables and ensure timely submission in line with project schedules.
• Identify design risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents.
• Support procurement activities through technical evaluations and vendor assessments.
• Provide technical guidance during construction, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and specialist vendors.
• Ensure quality assurance and design governance throughout the project lifecycle.

Preferred candidate profile:-

• B.E./ B.Tech in Electrical/ Electrical or Electronics/Mechanical.
• Master's degree in Electrical/Mechanical.
