Job summary

SCHUCO in Mumbai seeks a senior Façade & Fenestration engineer to lead design proposals, review drawings, quantify materials, and finalize project orders. You will coordinate with clients, architects, consultants, and internal teams to ensure alignment with design intent and standards.

The ideal candidate has 10-15 years in façade/fenestration, strong MS Office and AutoCAD/CAD skills, and knowledge of STAAD, THERM, Inventor, and WIN ISO.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience in façade and fenestration, with a proven track record.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD/CAD is essential.
• Knowledge of STAAD, THERM, Autodesk Inventor, and WIN ISO is advantageous.
• Excellent communication, coordination, problem solving, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and present project design proposals aligned with client requirements.
• Review, coordinate, and finalize die drawings for technical accuracy.
• Prepare material quantifications and ensure commercial alignment.
• Finalize MTO and project order lists.
• Coordinate PLU/VMU requirements.
• Review and approve shop drawings to ensure design intent.
• Drive design closure with customers, architects, consultants, and internal teams.
• Coordinate structural verification and integration of structural needs.
• Lead and guide the project team and assign responsibilities.
• Monitor deliverables and ensure timely project completion.

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and present project design proposals in line with project requirements and client expectations.
• Review, coordinate, and finalize die drawings, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with approved design standards.
• Prepare detailed material quantifications and ensure commercial alignment with project requirements.
• Finalize the Material Take-Off (MTO) and project order lists.
• Coordinate and close PLU/VMU requirements.
• Review and approve shop drawings to ensure consistency with design intent, technical specifications, and project standards.
• Drive complete design closure in coordination with customers, architects, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate structural verification and ensure the integration of structural requirements into the final design.
• Lead and guide the project team, assigning responsibilities and supporting team members to achieve individual and project objectives.
• Monitor deliverables, resolve design-related issues, and ensure timely completion of all project activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• Around 10-15 years of experience in Faade and Fenestration industry, windows industry working in a technical or design team with real track record and should be able to demonstrate his knowledge during the interview rounds.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD/CAD is essential.
• Knowledge of STAAD, THERM, Autodesk Inventor, WIN ISO will be an advantage.
• Strong understanding of faade and fenestration design principles, technical documentation, material quantification, and structural coordination.
• Excellent communication, coordination, problem-solving, and project management skills.
