ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead and execute Civil & Structural Design Engineering activities for Substation, Transmission, and Industrial Infrastructure Projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and engineering best practices. Perform and review the analysis and design of civil and structural components, delivering technically sound, safe, and cost-effective engineering solutions. Coordinate effectively with site teams, clients, consultants, vendors, and inter-disciplinary engineering teams to ensure seamless project execution and timely completion of deliverables. Prepare, review, and approve design calculations, Design Basis Reports (DBRs), Bills of Quantities (BOQs), engineering specifications, and technical documentation in line with project requirements. Lead the design and review of RCC structures, steel structures, equipment foundations, gantry structures, site grading, drainage systems, and associated civil works related to substations and transmission projects. Review vendor drawings, material submittals, and technical proposals, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and constructability requirements. Support pre-bid engineering activities by addressing technical queries, developing conceptual designs, validating quantities, and providing engineering inputs for proposals and tenders. Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and designers, ensuring quality outputs, improved productivity, and adherence to project schedules. Offer technical clarifications to site execution teams, resolve design-related challenges during construction, and support client approvals and engineering decisions throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor engineering progress, identify risks or bottlenecks, and implement corrective measures to ensure timely completion of deliverables. Ensure compliance with relevant national and international design codes, client specifications, and organizational quality standards. Drive continuous improvement by promoting engineering best practices, knowledge sharing, and standardization within the team.
QUALIFICATION: B.Tech in Civil Engineering; M.Tech in Structural Engineering / Geotechnical Engineering / Environmental Engineering will be preferred.
MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AND INDUSTRY PREFERENCE: 10–15 years of experience in Civil & Structural Design Engineering, preferably within Substation, Transmission, or Industrial Infrastructure Projects. Proven expertise in the design and review of RCC structures, steel structures, foundations, gantries, grading, and drainage systems. Strong experience in managing engineering deliverables, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting project execution activities. Hands‑on involvement in vendor drawing reviews, pre-bid engineering, BOQ preparation, and technical evaluation processes. Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams, mentor junior professionals, and deliver high-quality engineering outputs within project timelines. Exposure to domestic and international power infrastructure projects will be an added advantage.
SOFTWARE SKILLS: Proficiency in STAAD, ETABS, AutoCAD, and MS Office. Working knowledge of Revit and Tekla will be considered an added advantage.
MUST: SUBSTATION DESIGN EXPERIENCE.
