Job summary

The role requires a B.Tech in Civil Engineering, with an M.Tech an added advantage, 3–7 years in similar projects, and proficiency in STAAD, ETABS, AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Civil Engineering is mandatory; an MSc/M.Tech adds advantage.

Job description

• Execute Civil & Structural Design Engineering activities for Substation, Transmission, and Industrial Infrastructure Projects in accordance with project requirements, applicable standards, and engineering best practices.
• Perform analysis and design of civil and structural components, ensuring safe, economical, and constructible solutions.
• Coordinate effectively with site teams, clients, consultants, and inter-disciplinary engineering teams to facilitate timely completion of project deliverables.
• Prepare and review design calculations, Design Basis Reports (DBRs), Bills of Quantities (BOQs), engineering specifications, and technical documentation to support project execution.
• Develop and review engineering designs related to RCC structures, steel structures, equipment foundations, gantry structures, site grading, drainage systems, and associated civil works.
• Review vendor drawings, material submittals, and technical documents to ensure compliance with project specifications and engineering requirements.
• Support pre-bid engineering activities by addressing technical queries, preparing conceptual designs, and providing quantity estimates as required.
• Function as an individual contributor, taking ownership of assigned deliverables while ensuring adherence to quality standards and project schedules.
• Provide technical clarifications to site execution teams, assist in resolving engineering issues during construction, and support approval processes with clients and consultants.
• Ensure compliance with relevant national and international codes, client specifications, and internal quality procedures throughout the engineering lifecycle.
• Utilize engineering software and tools to improve design efficiency, accuracy, and project coordination. QUALIFICATION:
• B.Tech in Civil Engineering
• M.Tech in Structural Engineering / Geotechnical Engineering / Environmental Engineering will be an added advantage. MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AND INDUSTRY PREFERENCE:
• 3–7 years of experience in Civil & Structural Design Engineering, preferably within Substation, Transmission, or Industrial Infrastructure Projects.
• Hands-on experience in the design and analysis of RCC structures, steel structures, foundations, gantries, grading, and drainage systems.
• Familiarity with vendor drawing reviews, pre-bid engineering activities, BOQ preparation, and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple engineering assignments effectively.
• Experience in supporting site execution activities and resolving construction-related engineering issues will be preferred. SOFTWARE SKILLS: Proficiency in STAAD, ETABS, AutoCAD, and MS Office and Working knowledge of Revit and Tekla will be considered an added advantage. MUST: SUBSTATION DESIGN EXPERIENCE.
