Hiring: Design Lead (Owns Website + Product) Location: Teynampet, Chennai Exp: 5+ years

Position Overview

We are looking for a Design Lead / Head of Design to own UX strategy, product definition, and implementation across our SaaS platform. This is a leadership role for someone who can think like a product owner, execute with engineering, and build a strong design team.

You will work directly with the CEO and business stakeholders, lead a team of designers, and ensure that design decisions translate into clear, buildable, high-impact product experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end UX and product experience across the platform
• Translate business goals into clear problem statements, UX strategy, and execution plans
• Lead the UX phase of the product lifecycle — discovery, framing, prioritization, and validation
• Ensure design solutions are implementation-ready and shipped correctly
• Partner closely with Engineering on feasibility, trade-offs, sprint planning, and delivery
• Review builds and guide teams to ensure UX intent is met
• This role is accountable for shipping the right experience, not just producing designs.

Design Leadership & Team Management

• Build, mentor, and manage a team of designers
• Set design standards, workflows, and quality benchmarks
• Run design reviews, critiques, and planning sessions
• Balance hands-on work with leadership responsibilities

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in UX / Product Experience design for SaaS products
• Experience with B2B or data-heavy SaaS platforms
• Strong track record of driving product implementation, not just design output
• Experience working directly with CEOs, founders, or senior leadership
• Deep understanding of user flows, interaction design, and system thinking
• Comfortable owning decisions in a PM-less environment
• Proven experience leading and managing design teams.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with agile delivery and sprint execution
• Ability to influence without authority across teams
• Possesses a design degree from a Tier 1 university.
