Job summary

ESP Engineered in Pune seeks an experienced design engineer to lead electrical design for solar projects, interacting daily with the Project Execution team to refine design concepts and deliver robust solutions.

You will perform DC/AC design, switchgear rating calculations, cable sizing, earthing, and PV stringing analyses, plus shadow studies and PVsyst/Helioscope reporting, and review AutoCAD designs and related visuals.

Responsibilities

• Manage the design and engineering concepts for multiple projects and coordinate daily with the Project Execution team.
• Prepare design calculations and deliver BoM with technical details.
• DC and AC side design including switchgear rating, protection, cable sizing, and earthing calculations.
• DC design for solar rooftop PV projects, including stringing calculations.
• Perform shadow analysis of solar projects and PVsyst report for yield estimation; familiarity with Helioscope.
• Review AutoCAD designs and prepare HelioScope scenes, PVsyst reports, and Google SketchUp models.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Manage the work of engineering design of different projects, recognize the requirements from the Project Execution team and interact with them on a daily basis regarding the design & engineering concept of the projects in hand.
• Prepare the design and do the calculations and delivering to the Project Execution team. And also prepare the BoM with technical details.
• DC & AC side designing which includes design & selection, calculating the rating of the switchgear and protection required in the system, cable sizing, Earthing calculations, etc.
• DC side designing of solar rooftop PV projects, which includes the stringing calculations.
• Shadow Analysis of the solar project.
• PVsyst report for estimating the Yield Generation of the Solar Plant. Fluent in PVsyst and Helioscope.
• Reviewal of AutoCAD Design. Preparing HelioScope Scene, PVSyst Report, and Google Sketchup.
