Job summary

Cyient in Bengaluru seeks a DFT/Verification engineer to architect and implement DFT for complex SoCs and IPs. You will drive scan insertion, boundary scan, ATPG, and fault coverage, collaborating with RTL and Physical Design teams.

You will also verify DFT at RTL and gate levels, build UVM-based verification environments, and support post-silicon validation and production testing.

Qualifications

  • Experience in DFT architecture for complex SoCs/IPs.
  • Hands-on with Cadence Modus DFT for scan insertion and test point insertion.
  • Proficiency in Scan Chain design, boundary scan (JTAG) and LBIST/MBIST integration.
  • Strong debugging of ATPG patterns and fault coverage improvements.
  • Synthesis and DFT flow using Cadence Genus; signoff with RTL/PD teams.
  • Verification of DFT at RTL and gate level; post-silicon validation support.

Responsibilities

  • Architect end-to-end DFT for complex SoCs/IPs.
  • Define and implement full scan, compression, and scan chain stitching.
  • Perform ATPG pattern generation and coverage analysis; diagnose issues.
  • Integrate DFT with synthesis and timing for signoff.
  • Verify DFT at RTL and gate level; validate test modes and scan shift.
  • Collaborate with RTL, PD, and test eng teams for production readiness.

Job description

  • Develop and implement DFT architecture for complex SoCs and IPs.
  • Perform Scan Insertion using Cadence Modus DFT.
  • Define and implement:
    • Full Scan
    • Scan Compression
    • Scan Chain Stitching
    • Test Point Insertion
    • Boundary Scan (JTAG)
    • MBIST Integration
    • LBIST (Preferred)

ATPG & Fault Coverage

  • Generate ATPG patterns using Cadence Modus.
  • Analyze and improve fault coverage.
  • Debug pattern generation issues and coverage gaps.
  • Perform diagnostics and failure analysis.

Synthesis & DFT Flow

  • Execute synthesis using Cadence Genus.
  • Work closely with RTL and Physical Design teams for DFT signoff.
  • Support timing closure of DFT logic.
  • Optimize DFT structures with minimal impact on PPA.

Verification & Validation

  • Perform DFT verification at RTL and gate level.
  • Validate scan chains and test modes.
  • Scan Shift
  • Capture Mode
  • ATPG Pattern Validation
  • Support post-silicon validation and production testing.
  • Analyze ATE test results and debug manufacturing failures.

  • Define verification plans, test strategies, coverage metrics, and closure methodologies.
  • Develop scalable and reusable verification environments using UVM.
  • Leverage Formal Verification techniques to accelerate verification closure.

NPU & AI Accelerator Verification

  • Verify AI/ML accelerator architectures including:
    • Neural Processing Units (NPU)
    • Tensor Processing Engines
    • Matrix Compute Units
    • MAC Arrays
    • Vector Processing Engines
    • AI Data Movement Architectures
  • Validate functionality, performance, and architecture compliance.
  • Verify RISC-V processor subsystems and integration.
  • Validate:

    • MMU and Memory Subsystems
    • Privileged Architecture
    • Multi-Core Operation
  • Develop processor verification scenarios and stress tests.

  • Create constrained-random and directed test scenarios.
  • Architect and execute Formal Verification solutions.

    • Formal Coverage Analysis
  • Integrate Formal methodologies with simulation-based verification.
