Job summary

Hinduja Tech Limited in Chennai seeks a mechanical engineer to support VAVE initiatives, focusing on propeller shaft systems, shaft layout, and driveline interfaces.

You will work with suppliers and cross‑functional teams, benchmark competitor vehicles, generate VAVE ideas, and maintain CAD data in PLM systems.

Proficiency in 3D modeling (CATIA V6) and GD&T is valued, along with strong communication and presentation skills to drive design optimizations.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Propeller shaft system.
• Knowledge on Propeller shaft Layout creation.
• Basic Knowledge on Driveline interface aggregates.
• Agility, Effective Communication & Presentation skill.
• Good understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals.
• Familiarity with GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.

Responsibilities

• Benchmarking of competitor vehicles.
• Generate VAVE ideas.
• Work closely with Suppliers for proposal discussion.
• Work closely with Cross -functional teams throughout VAVE life cycle.
• Proficient in 3D modeling & 2D in 3D Experience 23X and Catia V6 Maintain CAD data and documentation in PLM systems.
