Job summary

DEIC-L&T Precision Engineering & Systems IC is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 1–3 years of experience. You will work on 3D modelling, engineering drawings, design calculations and GD&T, supporting technical proposals and customer documentation in a fast‑paced environment.

You will apply FEA tools such as ANSYS, PDM/PPT preparations, and ensure designs meet Trilateral and Euro Code standards while selecting high‑strength materials for bridge related projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.).
• 1-3 years of mechanical design experience.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of 3D modelling in Solid Works / UGNX.
• Prepare engineering drawings from 3D models.
• Perform design calculations and GD&T checks.
• Prepare reports in Excel and Word.
• Familiar with welding processes and symbols.
• Basic knowledge of ANSYS or any FEA tool.
• Create PPTs and presentations for technical proposals.
• Study customer documents and prepare technical proposals.
• Apply DFM & DFA principles.
• Ensure designs comply with international codes (Trilateral, Euro Code).
• Design and evaluate welded, riveted, and bolted connections.
• Apply structural mechanics to optimize designs.
• Use high-strength steel, aluminium, and composites in bridge designs.
