Job summary

Konecranes is seeking a Development Engineer for the LLE Platform Support in Pune. You will contribute to product development support, create 2D/3D drawings, and perform structural calculations while interpreting mechanical specs.

The role requires a BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering with 2-3 years of experience, and offers a hybrid work model with opportunities for growth and international exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 2-3 years of relevant engineering experience.

• Prepare engineering drawings using 2D and 3D design tools.

• Develop technical and sales solutions based on engineering requirements.

The Product Line LLE team provides engineering support across Offer Engineering, Order Engineering, Product Development Support, and Calculation Tools. We are looking for a motivated Development Engineer to join our team and contribute to product development support activities.

This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, problem-solving skills, and the ability to develop efficient engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret technical specifications and design suitable products/components to define the scope of work.
• Prepare engineering drawings using 2D and 3D design tools.
• Read and interpret mechanical equipment and structural drawings.
• Perform engineering tasks using established procedures and standards.
• Create equipment layouts and conduct mechanical and structural calculations to validate designs.
• Develop technical and sales solutions based on engineering requirements.
• Present and explain design solutions to internal stakeholders and address technical queries.
• Support product development initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the reporting manager.

The role is based in our office in SP Infocity, Pune – but it goes without saying that the remote & hybrid working is a part of our modern ways of working.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Experience

• 2-3 years of relevant engineering experience

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and NX (3D Modeling)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and structural drawings
• Experience in mechanical and structural calculations
• Knowledge of cranes and material handling equipment will be an added advantage
