Job summary

Technosoft Engineering is seeking a Design Engineer with 3-6 years of experience in sheet metal and machine design. The ideal candidate should possess a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Production engineering and demonstrate strong skills in SolidWorks, along with excellent communication abilities.

The role involves understanding requirements, creating design concepts, and ensuring manufacturability. The candidate must be willing to travel for short and long assignments and have a basic understanding of information security management systems.

Job Title: Design Engineer

Must have skills: Sheet metal design / Solidworks / SPM / Machine design

Job Responsibilities

• Understand the requirements and work with different teams.
• Make design concept and detail engineering.
• Design considering manufacturability, cost, performance and durability.
• Conduct design review to improve product performance and resolve technical issues.
• Knowledge in GDT, stack-up analysis, different industrial standards like ANSI, JIS, DIN, etc.
• Good knowledge in tooling, fixture and jigs would be a plus.
• Knowledge of manufacturing / production / assembly processes would be a plus.
• Hands on experience in various manufacturing processes would be a plus.

Desired Skill Set

• Good in engineering mechanics, strength of materials, theory of machines.
• A good grasp of engineering and design principles.
• 3 years of core experience in sheet metal design, machine design, material handling equipment design, etc.
• Knowledge in GDT, stack-up analysis.
• Good knowledge on any of the 3D modeling software (SolidWorks / Pro-E, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills and good team working skills.
• Willing to travel overseas for short and long assignments.
• Basic understanding of Information Security Management System.
