Job summary

Everest Technical Services in Pune invites a Fire Protection Design Engineer to join the Fire Engineering Team. You will design fire protection systems, model in Revit, and coordinate with MEP disciplines to ensure high-quality, on-time deliverables.

This role offers hybrid/remote work and requires 6+ years’ experience on international projects, with QA/QC and detailed calculations for sprinklers, hydrants and pipe sizing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and 6+ years’ project experience.
• Experience coordinating with other disciplines and clients.
• Proficient in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD and hydraulic software.
• Experience on large commercial building services projects.

Responsibilities

• Design fire protection systems per NFPA/VdS/EN 12845 and similar standards.
• Develop 3D and 2D models using Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks.
• Coordinate with MEP and client teams; QA/QC of fire protection work.
• Prepare hydraulic calculations, hydrant layouts, and pipe sizing.
• Create complete sheet packages for fabrication/installation (LOD 500/LOI 6).
• Plan timelines and manage project deliverables and calculations.

Job Title:- Fire Protection Design Engineer

Job description

The role of Design Engineer - Fire Protection will work within the Fire Engineering Team where they will be required to provide ongoing support to projects as well as develop and manage various work scopes. You will assist in the project management and design of our projects. You will be responsible for the timely delivery of our agreed deliverables and to ensure a very high level of quality is maintained.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Capable of handling the projects and client individually with good communication skills with concept designing and implementation for undergoing projects.
• Design of Fire protection systems based on standards like NFPA, VdS, EN 12845 & FM global etc.
• Modelling, Review, and coordination in 3D & 2D using Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks software's respectively. Preparing sprinkler layout considering obstructions, type of system (Wet, Pre-action, Dry, Mist or Deluge) and coordination.
• Coordination with other MEP services as well as with client and monitoring the progress of the project with responsibility for QA/QC of Fire protection services.
• Planning project timelines and work schedules considering project priorities and project baseline program and preparing of all project calculations like sprinkler hydraulic calculations, hydrant system calculations and pipe sizing for it.
• Preparing complete sheet package of Fire protection services for fabrication/installation including floor plans, sections, legends, schedules & details using Revit with detailed layouts for fire protection systems with LOD 500/LOI 6 like valve rooms and pump houses.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with experience with 6+ years working experience UK, US, Middle East, Irish or European projects.
• Experience coordinating/interfacing with other disciplines within the organization.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and any hydraulic calculation software.
• Experience in working on large commercial Mechanical Building Services systems with knowledge of Mechanical design and engineering techniques.
