Job summary

YDU JC Air Cond & Ref Inc.- Dubai in Ahmedabad is seeking a Fire Suppression Design Engineer to design gas suppression and sprinkler systems in line with NFPA, BSEN, FM and IS codes. You will perform take-offs, BOMs, risk analysis and ensure timely delivery.

The role requires 4–8 years of experience in fire protection, a BE/M.Tech in a relevant field, and proficiency with AutoCAD, FireCAD, SprinkCAD, Revit and Navisworks. NFPA CFPS/LPCB certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• BE / M.Tech in Mechanical, Chemical, Instrumentation, Electrical, or Electronics.
• 4–8 years of experience in the relevant field.
• Preferred NFPA CFPS & LPCB certification attained within 12 months of hire date.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication.
• Strong domain knowledge of Fire Fighting & Gas Suppression System.
• Ability to independently design gas suppression systems such as Novec, FM200, Inergen, CO2 systems, sprinkler, hydrant, water spray & special hazards, hydraulic calculations, value engineering and pump room design, water demand calculation & coordination.
• Knowledge of BSEN, NFPA and relevant codes & standards.
• Proficient digital literacy on AutoCAD, FireCAD, SprinkCAD, Revit, Navisworks.
• Supplementary knowledge of suppression system & product.
• Understanding of tender documents & specifications.
• Quick learner, team player, highly organized, able to lead multiple simultaneous projects.

The purpose of this role is to design sprinkler and gas suppression systems in accordance with BSEN / NFPA / FM / IS codes and standards. The Fire Suppression Design Team supports Fire Life Safety Sales & Design, including Fire Protection & Gas Suppression Systems. Primary responsibility will include project take‑offs, specification interpretation, scope of work creation, risk analysis, building code compliance, and value engineering ideas. Follow processes, maintain required quality standards, and on‑time deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction.
