Responsabilités

• Prepare and modify engineering drawings for railway GS works as per project requirements.
• Develop electrical layout drawings, lighting layouts, power distribution layouts, cable routing drawings, and related installation drawings.
• Prepare detailed design drawings, schematics, layouts, and technical documentation.
• Ensure drawings comply with approved design specifications, applicable railway standards, and project requirements.
• Review drawings and incorporate corrections based on comments from senior engineers, consultants, and clients.
• Coordinate with electrical, civil, OHE/PSI, and other engineering teams to resolve design interfaces and discrepancies.
• Prepare drawings and documents for submission, review, and approval by clients and consultants.
• Support site teams by clarifying design-related queries and resolving discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions.
• Conduct site visits when required to verify existing conditions and support design finalization.
• Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, design calculations, and technical documents.
• Ensure timely completion and submission of assigned design deliverables.
• Follow company quality procedures and project-specific engineering standards.

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer – GS (General Services) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in railway projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and modifying engineering drawings and design documents related to General Services (GS) works for railway infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in AutoCAD, railway design documentation, and coordination with engineering and project execution teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and modify engineering drawings for railway General Services (GS) works as per project requirements.
• Develop electrical layout drawings, lighting layouts, power distribution layouts, cable routing drawings, and related installation drawings, as applicable to the project scope.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Understanding of railway General Services (GS) design and engineering requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of electrical layouts, lighting, power distribution, and cable routing, as relevant to GS works.
• Understanding of applicable railway standards and project documentation procedures.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple design tasks and meet project deadlines.
• Knowledge of MS Office and engineering documentation.

Educational Qualification

Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in design engineering.
• Railway project experience is mandatory.
• Experience in railway GS design, electrical layouts, and AutoCAD drafting will be preferred.
