Job summary

Tata Technologies Ltd. in Pune invites an Aero-Cabin Interior Design Engineer to lead design concepts for aircraft seating interiors, coordinating with the customer and client engineering leads to ensure concise reporting and traceable planning.

You will oversee design reviews, validate deliverables through the lifecycle, and drive on-time milestone delivery while applying DFMEA, GD&T and manufacturing considerations. Strong CATIA V5 skills and experience with ENOVIA/SmarTeam are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in aircraft seating/interiors.
• Experience with airlines or airframe OEMs.
• Proficient in CATIA V5, ENOVIA, SmarTeam.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions with client engineering leads and leadership.
• Plan and execute design activities with full traceability.

Job description

As an Aero-Cabin Interior Design Engineer, you will work at a customer location; lead a technical discussion with client engineering leads and leadership team; and work closely with Customer. Reporting must be concise and to the point. Planning and execution of those fully tracked and reported.

Area of Responsibility

• Minimum 5 years aircraft seating and/or aircraft interiors experience.
• Proven track record of projects with airlines or airframe manufacturers or aircraft interior OEM's (seating is preferred)
• Develop complex design concepts and mechanisms, BOMs, detailed design of seating components and lead successful design integration to ensure customer/airframe regulatory requirements are met.
• Accountable for checking and validating design deliverables produced within design organization throughout product lifecycle.
• Lead design reviews and ensure on time delivery of engineering milestones.
• Responsible for applying processes and methods for product design and ensuring process compliance through change management, design optimization, DFMEA, GD&T, design for manufacture and knowledge management.
• Planning and coordination of all design activities to ensure on time delivery
• Participate in all MER / Technical Audits Reviews
• Reporting/Forecasting of status and updating of KPIs
• Support ITCM, PDR and CDR when required
• Responsible of design engineering deliverables

Knowledge / Experience

• Experience of Aerospace seating design & aircraft assembly line.
• Experience on Aerospace manufacturing processes and Industrial standard.
• Good knowledge on creation of Guidelines, Project Lean Design Roadmap
• Experience in developing the templates and standards to be used in the Industrial Process & innovative solutions.
• Knowledge of Aerospace design standards
• Good Understanding of Industrial assembly for Aerospace manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in use of various modules of CATIA V5, ENOVIA & Smarteam is preferable.
• Worked with Global Aero Clients
