Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Gujarat seeks an Entry Professional (P1) to join electrical engineering teams that research, develop, design and test components, equipment, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic use.

You will evaluate specs, perform magnetic core calculations, support marketing and manufacturing, create and update engineering documentation, and help bring new products from concept to production while adhering to safety and integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer specification and prepare up to date, optimized product cost estimates for marketing.
• Perform magnetic core calculations to meet customer requested parameters.
• Support marketing with optimized product configuration and cost for key orders and tenders.
• Create, maintain and update QA plans, components drawings, SOPs and assembly drawings in ERP and database.
• Support manufacturing to resolve assembly issues and product improvement, processes based on feedback.
• Constantly evaluate feedback from marketing and lead a small task-based teams for addressing customer requirements.
• Lead implementation and industrialization of new products and processes as required.
• Improve engineering processes to address manufacturing requirement of engineering information accurately and with speed.
• Responsible for magnetic design of instrument transformers to meet customer specifications.
• Prepare and release engineering information to manufacturing as per production plan i.e. BOM, design sheets, test plans and product drawings as per customer order requirement.
• Support order handling to resolve drawing approvals, customer queries with relevant technical information.
• Support supply chain management to resolve suppliers queries for component manufacturing or design requirements.
• Create, maintain and update relevant component information in MM module of SAP.
• Maintain, review update type test reports and close gaps in type testing.
• Maintain and update product offering and product portfolio in instrument transformers based on new developments and customer requirements.

Your background

• Candidate should hold a bachelor's degree in engineering with relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
