Job summary

Saur Energy International is seeking a capable Electrical Design engineer for oil-filled power transformers up to 345 kV. The role involves participating in an international design team and ensuring designs meet global standards.

Candidate should have 4–12 years of relevant experience, strong collaboration skills, and proficiency in design software. English language proficiency is required for multi-country coordination.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech Electrical Engineering is required.
• 4–12 years of experience in electrical design for oil-filled power transformers manufacturing.
• Understanding of transformer electrical design, thermal and dielectric behavior, short circuit and sound performance.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to electrical design (quotation and order) meeting factory limitations and guidelines per IEEE/IEC/IS standards.
• Prepare customer and manufacturing documents, bill of materials per project schedule.
• Coordinate design activities within a global factory network and participate in design reviews.

How you’ll make an impact

• The success candidate will be the part of an International Design and Engineering Team specialized in Oil Type Power Transformer up to 345 kV Class design covering different countries.
• Influence specification at the tender and pre-tender stage, through conceptual discussions.
• Responsible to prepare electrical design (Quotation & order) meeting factory limitation, guideline, and checklist as per IEEE / IEC /IS standards as per project schedule.
• Responsible for Preparation of Customer documents, Manufacturing documents, Bill of materials etc. as per project schedule.
• Coordinating design activities within a worldwide factories network.
• Participation in internal design concept reviews.
• Demonstrated team building skills and networking skills, would be a preference.
• Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.

Your background

• B.E / B. Tech Electrical Engineering.
• 4 to 12 years’ experience working in Electrical design for oil filled Power Transformers manufacturing Industry. Candidates with higher experience also to be considered.
• Understanding of Transformer Electrical Design, Thermal, Dielectrics, Short circuit and sound performance and transformer mechanics
• Should have good understanding of IS/ IEC /IEEE Standards & Canadian Standards.
• Experience in Simulation or software development would be advantageous.
• Experience on Microsoft office and tools.
• Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.
• Demonstrated team building skills, would be a preference.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
