Job summary

Sa Management Services in India is seeking an experienced CAD/Design engineer to provide engineering design support for coupling, casting, simulation, and calculations across India and Germany. You will manage projects individually and as part of a team, ensuring timelines and quality meet business unit requirements.

The role requires expert CAD knowledge (Cre o 4.0 surfacing) and Windchill 12.0, with experience in 3D modeling, 2D drawings, BOMs, and data management in PDM/SAP.

Qualifications

• Professional CAD/Design engineering experience, preferably with international orientation.
• Experience in the Coupling Industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of torque transmission elements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings and BOMs per guidelines.
• Read and apply Drawings, GD&T as required.
• Maintain material master data in PDM and SAP; issue change notifications.

Job description

BASIC FUNCTION:

- Provide Engineering Design support to business units in India and Germany by applying best practices in CAD Design in the domain of Coupling, Casting, Simulation, Calculations. Managing projects individually as well as in a team environment by ensuring timeline and quality requirements from business units

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Creation, modification, and maintenance of 3D models (individual parts and assemblies), 2D drawings and bills of materials, considering the given boundary condition and guidelines and as part of the quotation and order processing

- Read & Understand the Drawings, GD&T and apply wherever required.

- Creation and maintenance of material master data in the PDM system and SAP as well as the creation of change notifications and other technical documents.

- Advanced understanding of manufacturing techniques and processes and its application in the Drawings.

- Review and provide correct drawings, engineering documents like DFMEAs, bill of material etc.

- Implementation of technical calculations using specified calculation tools.

- Working Knowledge of Design tool DFMEA.

- Good knowledge of standards: European/international standards (DIN, EN ISO) desirable.

- Knowledge of Casting Design, Standards.

- Design and calculation of couplings for maritime and industrial applications

- Should be able to manage all the project deliverables at his own.

- Keeping Superior updated time to time about project progress and Support process improvement activities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

- Professional experience as a CAD/Design engineer, preferably with international orientation.

- Experience in the Coupling Industry is Preferred.

- Knowledge in the field of Torque transmission Elements is preferred.

- Expert CAD knowledge: - Creo 4.0 (Preferably Surfacing), / PLM tool Windchill 12.0

- Confident appearance, strong communication skills, team spirit and assertiveness.

- Able to communicate with colleague from international collaboration.
