Job summary

Inmobel is seeking a Design and Estimation Lead to drive end-to-end design and estimation for modular furniture, doors, and frames at our Ahmedabad site. You will review client specs, create BOMs and Cutlists, and respond to technical queries while upholding design standards.

• Ability to collaborate with sales, engineering, production, and installation to ensure design-to-delivery alignment.
• Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to accuracy in designs and estimates.
• Excellent communication to present concepts and clarify technical details with clients and stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design or related field; industry experience in modular furniture preferred.
• Experience leading design/estimation teams and contributing to process improvements.

Responsibilities

Role Description

The Design and Estimation Lead is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Ahmedabad. This role is responsible for leading the end‑to‑end design and estimation process for modular furniture, doors, and frames, ensuring that solutions meet client requirements, cost targets, and production capabilities. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing client specifications, preparing detailed BOM, Cutlist, CNC drilling patterns and respond to technical queries. The role also involves maintaining design standards, optimizing processes, and contributing to continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in furniture and interior product design, including the ability to interpret architectural drawings and translate client requirements into practical design solutions.


• Proficiency in production design - CUTRITE, MOZAIK, WOODWOP, etc. Also have knowledge of design software like (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools) and comfort working with digital design workflows.


• Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials (wood, hardware, finishes), and production constraints relevant to modular furniture and doors.


• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as sales, engineering, production, and installation to ensure alignment from design to delivery.


• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy in both designs and estimates.


• Effective communication skills for presenting design concepts, clarifying technical details, and engaging with clients and internal stakeholders.


• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Furniture Design, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field; relevant industry experience in modular furniture or joinery is preferred.


• Experience in leading or mentoring design/estimation teams and contributing to process improvements is an advantage.
