Job summary

Calderys India Refractories is seeking a seasoned professional for refractory installation at major project sites. The role requires field execution experience, strict adherence to safety protocols, and hands-on management of materials and quality documentation.

The candidate should have 5–10 years of relevant experience, with exposure to cement, power plants, or petrochemical environments preferred. Diploma or BE in Mechanical/Ceramics is desirable for site flexibility.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in installation/erection of refractory or related structures.
• Field application and site-based work is required.
• Exposure to cement, power plant, or petrochemical sectors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Calderys Safety Protocols at project sites.
• Conduct safety toolbox talks, site audits, and report near misses.
• Execute refractory installation per drawings and SOPs.
• Maintain installation quality and quality documents at site.
• Ensure timely project completion and obtain completion certificate.
• Prepare MIS: daily progress reports, tracking sheets, and materials reconciliation.
• Inspect refractory lining with API/certification agencies and file detailed reports.
• Manage materials at store and site; verify quantities.
• Ensure statutory compliance at site.
• Submit contractor bills and customer certifications monthly.
• Keep site machinery tidy and maintained.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to Calderys Safety Protocols and Implementation of the same at project sites.
• Conducting safety toolbox, site audits, reporting near misses etc.
• Execution of the refractory installation job by strict adhering to refractory execution drawings
• Maintaining the refractory installation quality by following SOP as described in the installation manual including maintaining of all laid down quality documents at site.
• Timely Execution as per the committed schedule including getting a project completion certificate from the customer.
• Preparation of MIS viz Daily progress reports, tracking sheet, material reconciliation in the prescribed format including close coordination with superiors (project coordinators).
• Inspection of refractory lining along with TPI or competence agencies and make a detailed inspection report.
• Responsible for material management at store and site including correctness of quantity of material received at project sites.
• Compliance of all statutory requirements at site.
• Ensure timely submission of contractor bills and customer certifications for monthly billing.
• Keep the sites Machines in tidy conditions including their timely repair and maintenance.

Experience:

• 5-10 years of experience in:
• Installation Erection in Refractory, Mechanical or any other structural erection.
• Field application and site-based work (must-have)
• Refractory experience in Cement, Power Plant or in Petchem Segment(good to have)
• Candidates with API certification will be an added advantage

Educational Qualification:

• Preferred: Diploma in Mechanical or Ceramics (more site-flexible)
• Also open to: B.E. in Mechanical / Ceramics
