Job summary

MMP REFRATECH PVT. LTD. in Pune Division seeks a Refractory Site Engineer for on-site installation, maintenance and inspection of refractory linings in furnaces and boilers at customer locations.

You will supervise site activities, coordinate with civil and structural teams, ensure quality and safety standards, read technical drawings, prepare site reports, and provide technical guidance on refractory selection and application. Willingness to travel within the Pune Division is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience installing and maintaining refractory installations.
• Effective communication with clients, contractors and internal teams.
• Quality control to monitor workmanship, materials usage and safety standards.
• Knowledge of structural and civil engineering related to furnace foundations and supports.
• Diploma or degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience in refractory engineering or industrial furnaces is an advantage.
• Ability to read technical drawings and prepare site reports.

Responsibilities

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Refractory Site Engineer role based in the Pune Division. The Refractory Site Engineer will oversee installation, maintenance, and inspection of refractory linings in furnaces, boilers, and related thermal equipment at customer locations. Daily responsibilities include supervising site activities, coordinating with civil and structural engineering teams, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards, and resolving technical issues during construction or shutdowns. The role involves conducting site measurements, preparing reports on material usage and performance, and providing technical guidance on refractory selection and application. The engineer will also interact with customers and internal teams to plan work schedules, support project execution, and ensure timely completion of projects.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong on-site execution skills, including hands‑on experience managing refractory installation and maintenance activities.
• Candidates should possess effective communication skills to coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal project teams.
• Candidates should possess quality control skills, with the ability to monitor workmanship, material usage, and compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
• Candidates should possess knowledge in structural engineering and civil engineering relevant to furnace foundations, supports, and allied construction work.
• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in refractory engineering, industrial furnaces, or thermal systems will be an advantage.
• Ability to read technical drawings, prepare site reports, and use basic project documentation tools is desirable.
• Willingness to travel within the Pune Division and work at industrial sites as required, with a strong focus on safety and teamwork.
