Job summary

Calderys in India is seeking a Safety & Refractory Projects specialist to lead on-site safety and deliver refractory installation per drawings and specs. You will drive safety talks, audits, and reporting, manage materials and site equipment, and coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure timely project completion and quality.

Candidates should have 5–15 years of mechanical or ceramics experience and a diploma/BE, with strong documentation and MIS reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Ceramics with 5–15 years of experience.
• Solid knowledge of industrial safety protocols, site safety practices, toolbox talks, audits, and near‑miss reporting.
• Hands‑on knowledge of refractory installation, erection activities, and execution per technical drawings.
• Familiarity with refractory SOPs, installation manuals and quality standards.
• Strong project execution, scheduling, coordination, and customer-management skills.
• Experience in preparing MIS and daily progress reports, tracking sheets, material reconciliation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
• API certification is an added advantage with billing coordination and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure strict adherence to Safety Protocols and effective implementation of safety standards at project sites.
• Conduct safety toolbox talks, site safety audits, inspections, and near-miss reporting.
• Execute refractory installation activities in accordance with approved refractory execution drawings and project specifications.
• Ensure high‑quality refractory installation by strictly following SOPs, installation manuals, and established quality standards.
• Ensure timely execution of projects as per the committed schedule and obtain project completion certificates from customers.
• Prepare and maintain MIS reports, including daily progress reports, project tracking sheets, material reconciliation statements, and other prescribed reports.
• Manage materials at stores and project sites, ensuring proper receipt, quantity verification, storage, handling, and reconciliation.
• Ensure timely submission of contractor bills, customer certifications, and maintain proper upkeep, repair, and maintenance of site machinery.
