Job summary

Piramal Critical Care in India seeks a Deputy Manager-Supply Chain to lead procurement, vendor development and inventory control across local and overseas suppliers. 8–12 years of SCM experience in chemical/manufacturing is preferred.

The role requires strong contract management and cost-optimization expertise. The incumbent will oversee stores, logistics and material handling, ensuring QA compliance, timely material availability, and accurate MIS reporting.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of SCM experience in chemical/manufacturing sectors.
• Education in commerce, science, or engineering with materials focus.
• Experience in stores, procurement, and inventory control expected.

Responsibilities

• Procure quality raw materials to meet production schedules with QA compliance.
• Develop local and overseas vendors for cost effective RM procurement.
• Maintain ARC for mechanical, electrical and instrument to avoid downtime.
• Control OPEX/REVEX by sourcing cost effective materials and services.
• Define roles and responsibilities for export of finished goods.
• Identify fast-moving items and establish vendor-managed inventory.
• Handle contracts, service agreements and renewals per policy.
• Plan tasks within the team to meet deadlines and quality.
• Promote morale, assign tasks, and adjust for staff capacity.
• Oversee Eng-Stores and Logistics, including Inventory management.
• Ensure receipt, unloading, accounting, inspection, tagging, stocking, issue to plant.
• Maintain min-max levels for spares and consumables and manage purchases.
• Develop infrastructure, space management and stores systems.
• Perform perpetual inventory verification and monthly MIS reporting.

• Day-to-day activities of Eng-Stores and Logistics along with Inventory Management activities.
• Overall responsibility of local as well as Imported Eng. material and Packing Material Receipt, Unloading, Accounting, Inspection, Tagging/Storing and Issue to plant and Dispensing of Eng- Material & Material Handling.
• Maintain Min-Max level of Spares and Consumables and responsible for its purchase.
• Responsible for development of Infrastructure, Space management and Systems for Stores.
• Responsible for perpetual inventory verification with books.
• Responsible to provide monthly MIS & yearly Budget.

Responsible for all project work related to stores what so ever launched by the management.
