Job summary

ReNew is hiring a Deputy Manager - Supplier Quality in Gurugram. You will drive vendor development, qualification, and performance audits for electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and panels.

The role requires 5–10 years of experience in supplier quality within renewable energy or power sectors. You will lead product evaluation, QA/QMS processes, MQP validation, and CAPA/RCA implementations while coordinating third-party inspectors and guiding a skilled team to ensure

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in vendor quality, product testing, supplier audits, and inspection of electrical equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QMS processes in power, substation or renewable energy sectors.
  • Experience coordinating third-party inspection agencies and CAPA/ RCA activities.

Responsibilities

  • Vendor development, supplier qualification, and supplier performance assessment.
  • Product due diligence, product evaluation, and testing of electrical equipment.
  • Testing and inspection of transformers, inverters, circuit breakers, HT/LT panels, cables, and switchyard equipment.
  • Validate Manufacturing Quality Plans (MQPs) and implement corrective actions (RCA/CAPA).
  • Lead field failure analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate and manage Third-Party Inspection Agencies and budgets.
  • Mentor and develop team capabilities within supplier quality functions.

Job Description

Position: Deputy Manager - Supplier Quality

Location: Gurugram Experience: 5 to 10 Years

Key Responsibilities
  • Vendor development, supplier qualification, and supplier performance assessment.
  • Product due diligence, product evaluation, and testing of electrical equipment.
  • Testing and inspection of:
  • Transformers
  • Inverters
  • Circuit Breakers
  • HT/LT Panels
  • Cables
  • Switchyard and Substation Equipment
  • Timely material inspections and adherence to defined TATs.
  • Validation of Manufacturing Quality Plans (MQPs).
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA) validation and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Field failure analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Management and coordination of Third-Party Inspection Agencies.
  • Department budget planning, cost control, and resource management.
  • Team leadership, mentoring, and capability development.
  • Conducting supplier audits and ensuring quality compliance across the supply chain.
Required Skills
  • Strong experience in Vendor Development and Supplier Quality Management.
  • Expertise in Product Evaluation, Testing, and Quality Assurance.
  • Knowledge of electrical switchyards, substations, and power distribution equipment.
  • Experience in Supplier Audits and Supplier Assessments.
  • Documentation and Quality Management System (QMS) knowledge.
  • RCA, CAPA, and Failure Analysis expertise.
  • Ability to manage third-party inspections and quality compliance activities.
Preferred Background
  • B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in power, renewable energy, EPC, electrical equipment manufacturing, or utility industries.
