Job summary

Exide Energy Solutions Limited (EESL) in Bengaluru Devanahalli is seeking a Production Process Engineer to drive efficient and sustainable Li-ion cell manufacturing at the gigafactory. The role focuses on process efficiency, quality, and energy stewardship in this cutting-edge facility.

You will analyse manufacturing steps, lead cross-functional initiatives, collect production data, collaborate with QA and maintenance, reduce waste, and document SOPs while training Operations teams to sustain

Qualifications

• BE or B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics / Manufacturing / Industrial Automation
• 5–15 years of production process engineering experience in OEM or Tier 1 automotive environments

Responsibilities

• Analyse and evaluate advanced manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to drive ongoing process enhancements, promoting operational excellence.
• Collect and analyse production data, using data-driven insights to optimize processes and ensure seamless production.
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to maintain high standards of product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Work closely with the Maintenance team to develop and execute preventive maintenance plans, minimizing equipment downtime.
• Champion initiatives to reduce waste, energy consumption, and environmental impact within the manufacturing process.
• Maintain comprehensive records of process changes, standard operating procedures, and best practices, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Provide training and support to Operations teams, ensuring the effective implementation and sustainability of new processes.
