Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking a Deputy Manager - Production Machine Shop in Chakan. You will oversee engine assembly and machining operations, drive process improvements, and lead TPM and cost-reduction initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.

The role requires 3-5 years of relevant automotive experience and a hands-on approach to solving technical and process challenges in a high-volume production environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in automotive production and machining environments.

Responsibilities

• 1. Address process issues and quality issues in engine assembly and testing.
• 2. Identify engine defects and perform root cause analysis.
• 3. Set up new model machining, line setup, and ramp up.
• 4. Improve capacity through debottlenecking and process improvements.
• 5. Implement zero rejection concepts in the rejection system.
• 6. Drive revenue-cost reduction initiatives and implement improvement ideas.
• 7. Coordinate with support functions and resolve concerns with cross-functional teams.
• 8. Promote a safety-first working culture.
• 9. Cultivate an improvement-driven culture.
• 10. Adhere to quality systems and standards.
• 11. Implement TPM in machining processes.
• 12. Lead tool cost reduction, power cost reduction, and productivity projects.
