Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking an experienced Field Quality Engineer for its automotive division in Maharashtra. The role focuses on field/internal customer quality of aggregates and driveline, handling warranty complaints, and coordinating with product teams for RCA actions.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in automotive quality, BE/ME in mechanical, and a proven track record in field audits, problem solving (QC story/G8D), and dealing with dealers to ensure timely field issue

Qualifications

• BE/ME Mechanical degree.
• Experience in automotive field quality, 8–10 years.
• Familiar with QC tools and RCA methods.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Field/internal Customer Quality of Aggregate & Driveline.
• Handling field/warranty complaints, field concerns, early mileage failure & PDI concern.
• Field failure parts tracking & analysis with Product stakeholders for RCA & actions; effective interaction with internal customers/dealers.
• Warranty data analysis, monitoring & proactive actions for complaint reduction.
• Handle independently critical field issues & closure.
• Ensure timely closure of field failures with structured problem solving (QC story/G8D).
• Conduct Product & Process Audits of Assembly & Machine shop.
• Responsible for all field concerns related CTQ audit, vehicle plant audits & Dock Audit of RFD aggregates.
• Supplier visits for failure parts root cause analysis & verify controls.
• Effective monitoring/tracking & interpretation of MIS/reports.
• Conduct product audits (Global Demerit Audit of Aggregates per plan for existing & upcoming launch; NC closure & Outgoing Quality audit of RFD products/gears).
• Frequent visits on Dealerships for critical issues diagnostics & troubleshooting.
• Coordinate Product Deviation & closure tracking.
• Prepare presentation for Repair Orders, MIS & Tracking sheet for Senior Management review.
• Attend ECN changes meeting & validate effectiveness in GD audit.
• Actively involve in New projects & ensure all open clearance in each phase.
