Tally is seeking a Deputy Manager / Manager – Finance Business Partnering to collaborate with Product & Engineering, Sales, and Customer Experience to influence business strategy. You will turn financial insights into actionable plans and drive long-term value creation.

At Tally, Finance Business Partnering is a strategic partnership that enables informed business decisions and drives long-term value creation. In this role, you will partner closely with one of Tally's core business functions, such as Product & Engineering, Sales, or Customer Experience. You will leverage financial insights, commercial acumen, and data-driven analysis to influence business strategy, optimize performance, and support key decision-making.
This role requires the ability to manage greater business complexity, exercise strong commercial judgment, and influence senior stakeholders. Success in this role requires a proactive mindset, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate financial insights into actionable business outcomes.

3 – 5 years of relevant experience in Business Finance, Corporate Strategy, or M&A.
Proven ability to independently drive problem-solving and deliver outcomes.
Strong fundamentals in Financial modelling, Business economics, Data analysis etc.
Prior experience in working with a software product or tech-enabled startups.
Familiarity with:
Product-led growth / GTM constructs
Act as the primary finance partner to the functional leadership team (e.g., Product Heads, Engineering Leaders, Sales Leaders).
Drive decision-making on product investments, GTM strategies, and resource allocation using structured financial thinking.
Bring a value-creation mindset to discussions—balancing growth, customer impact, and profitability.
Influence key business decisions through assertive yet collaborative engagement.
Build and own complex financial models for:
Drive function-level performance analytics (growth, margins, efficiency, ROI on spends).
Identify key business drivers and translate them into actionable insights (not just reporting).
Lead monthly/quarterly business reviews, focusing on:
Own annual planning and periodic forecasting for the function.
Align financial plans with operational and strategic priorities.
Ensure optimal allocation of capital and resources across initiatives.
Introduce rigour and structure without slowing down innovation.
Work closely with:
Act as a bridge between Finance and Business, especially for technical stakeholders.
Bring clarity and financial structure to ambiguous, evolving business problems.
Convert complex analysis into clear, compelling narratives for leadership.
Drive discussions with confidence, clarity, and data-backed reasoning.
Manage senior stakeholders with strong presence, persuasion, and empathy.
