Role & responsibilities
We are looking for a Deputy Manager Legal responsible for handling contractual, licensing, regulatory, and legal matters of the organization. The role will involve drafting and reviewing legal documents, providing legal opinions, handling queries, and supporting the business on applicable laws and regulations.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts, agreements, BBA (Builder-Buyer Agreements), and other legal documents.
- Prepare and review legal documentation related to licenses, approvals, registrations, and regulatory requirements.
- Handle day-to-day legal queries from internal business teams and provide timely legal advice and opinions.
- Research applicable laws, rules, regulations, and judicial developments and advise management accordingly.
- Provide legal support in consumer matters, including reviewing notices, complaints, replies, and related documentation.
- Handle matters relating to RERA (Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act) and Haryana RERA (HRERA), including regulatory compliance and documentation.
- Coordinate with external advocates, consultants, government authorities, and regulatory bodies wherever required.
- Identify potential legal risks in business transactions and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Maintain proper records of contracts, legal notices, cases, approvals, licenses, and other legal documents.
- Assist senior management in ensuring legal and regulatory compliance across business operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- LL.B. / LL.M. from a recognized university.
- 47 years of relevant experience in a corporate/legal department, preferably in the real estate sector.
- Strong drafting and reviewing skills for contracts, agreements, BBA, notices, undertakings, and other legal documents.
- Good working knowledge of RERA/HRERA and Consumer Protection laws.
- Ability to independently handle legal queries and provide practical, business-oriented legal opinions.
- Strong legal research, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Good understanding of regulatory and licensing requirements.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel.
Preferred candidate profile
Experience in real estate, construction, property transactions, licensing, RERA/HRERA, and consumer litigation will be an added advantage.
