Job summary

Apraava Energy seeks a Chartered Accountant to oversee debt servicing, SPV accounting, and comprehensive financial reporting. You will coordinate with treasury, manage monthly closes, and ensure statutory compliance across multiple entities.

You will drive governance, optimize working capital, and mentor the team on Ind AS adherence and tax/duties. This role involves collaboration with banks, auditors, and internal stakeholders for timely and accurate financials.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant with understanding of Indian accounting standards (Ind AS) and GST.
• Experience with debt servicing, bank interactions, and cash flow management.
• Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation, audit coordination, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage debt servicing and coordinate with treasury for payments.
• Lead monthly close, prepare P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Oversee SPV accounting and intercompany reconciliations across entities.

Accountabilities Major Activities

Support debt-servicing, Dealing with bankers

Support in debt servicing with the objective of maintaining a high Credit Rating for the asset.

Track debt payments made to banks for various loans.

Coordinate with treasury team in Mumbai to ensure timely debt payments.

Provide inputs regarding debts for the monthly preparation of financial statements such as the P&L statement, balance sheet and cash flow.

Monitoring bank reconciliation statements on monthly basis

Support working capital management to ensure timely availability of funds for business operations

Estimate fund requirements for effective business operations (considering vendor’s payments, internal payments, debt servicing, daily expenses).

Coordinate with banks to meet funding requirements basis borrowing limit and treasury policy.

Inventory Management & Controls

Oversee end-to-end accounting of project materials, spare parts, and capital assets across all store locations and site warehouses.

Conduct periodic physical stock verifications and perform detailed reconciliation against ERP/book balances.

Reconcile Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) with vendor invoices and purchase orders to ensure accurate liability booking.

Identify and report slow-moving, non-moving, or damaged stock, and calculate appropriate obsolescence provisions.

Strengthen internal controls around stock issuance, consumption tracking, and material transfers between project sites.

Multi-SPV Accounting & Financial Reporting

Manage parallel general ledgers and day-to-day transactionprocessing across multiple SPVs within strict statutory

timelines.

Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual book-closing activities for each individual entity under Ind AS standards.

Reconcile inter-company and inter-SPV balances, loans, shared costs, and transactions on a monthly basis to eliminate

elimination mismatches.

Support group-level consolidation by preparing uniform reporting packages, MIS reports, and cash flow forecasts per

entity.

Facilitate smooth statutory, tax, and internal audits by serving as the central coordinator for entity-specific audit deliverables.

Team Leadership & Work Allocation

Assign clear daily, monthly, and close-cycle accountabilities among team members to maintain an even workload distribution.

Supervise, review, and validate deliverables prepared by team

members (e.g., reconciliations, tax returns, ledger reviews)

before final sign-off.

Establish clear timelines for accounting milestones to eliminate bottlenecks during peak month-end and audit cycles.

Mentor team members on Ind AS compliance, ERP usage, tax deductions, and standard accounting best practices. Manage workflow dependencies and address operational hurdles promptly to ensure continuous team productivity.

Educational Qualifications

• Mandatory Qualification: Chartered Accountant

Functional Skills

Understanding of the Indian Power Industry.

Thorough understanding of Balance Sheets and P&L statements.

Deep knowledge of regulatory framework on power industry.

Knowledge of Debt Servicing.

Knowledge of preparation of Financial Statements as per Companies Act 2013, Statutory & SOX audit.

Knowledge of taxation norms and systems.

Knowledge of GST & GST credit management & return filing

Understanding of working capital management.

Relevant and total years of Experience

Overall experience: 1-2 year accounting experience, Fresh CA having good academic records can also be considered.
