Job summary

Aptia Group in Mumbai is hiring a Deputy Manager - Finance to oversee technical accounting under UK GAAP with IFRS differences. The role requires leading month-end, quarterly and year-end closings and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

You will prepare and review journal entries, analyse variances to budgets, and coordinate with internal and external auditors while contributing to MIS improvements and policy documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash flows) per UK GAAP with IFRS/UK GAAP differences.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and year-end closings of books of accounts.
• Analyze variances to forecast, budget and prior year; present findings to finance leadership.
• Coordinate with group and local auditors and ensure compliance with local/UK GAAP regulations.
• Implement changes/improvements in MIS for the company and document processes.
• Supervise and train junior accounting staff and ensure accurate reporting.
