Job description

Purpose/Objective
  • The Lead - Gas & Chemical, PEX is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient management of bulk gases and specialty chemicals.
  • This includes ensuring compliance with safety regulations, optimizing system performance, and leading a team to maintain operational standards.
  • The role involves coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to manage handling, storage, and distribution processes effectively.
Key Responsibilities of Role
  • Safety and Compliance: - Ensure that all gas and chemical operations meet safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct audits and risk assessments to identify hazards, implement corrective actions, and mitigate risks.
  • Digitalization/Data-Driven Decision Making: - Overseeing the implementation of digital tools and smart technologies to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Organizational & Culture Building: - Fostering a collaborative, agile culture that aligns with company values, driving employee engagement, and ensuring organizational growth and development.
  • Leadership in Change Management: - Leading effective change management strategies to guide the organization through transitions, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Bulk Gas System Management: - Oversee the management of bulk gas systems, including their handling, storage, and distribution.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, and conduct regular inspections and maintenance to prevent leaks and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Specialty Chemicals Handling: - Supervise the storage, handling, and application of specialty chemicals.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and develop safe use and disposal procedures.
  • Gas System Management: - Direct the operation and maintenance of gas systems to ensure safe and efficient handling.
  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance to prevent leaks and ensure safety compliance.
  • Chemical Process Oversight: - Oversee chemical processes, including their handling, storage, and application.
  • Develop procedures for safe use and waste management to meet environmental and safety standards.
  • Process Innovation: - Lead the development of efficient, eco-friendly chemical and gas processes to boost yield and sustainability.
  • System Optimization: - Enhance the efficiency and performance of gas and chemical systems through data analysis and process improvements.
  • Collaborate on system upgrades to boost reliability and reduce costs.
  • Training and Development: - Develop and deliver training programs on safe gas and chemical handling and emergency procedures.
