Job summary

Mettler-Toledo International, Inc in Mumbai seeks a Senior US Collections Lead to direct a team of about 20 collectors, focusing on reducing past-due receivables from US-based customers across multiple business units.

You will own end-to-end collection portfolios, monitor metrics like PTP and aging, collaborate with analytics and process automation teams, ensure compliance, and coach staff to drive cash flow and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum graduation; master's in finance preferred.
• 10–12 years' international customer service experience, preferably in cash collections.
• 4–5 years' team-leading experience.
• SAP knowledge preferred.

• Monitor portfolio performance: PTP, disputes, escalations, aging trends.

• Collaborate with MIS and Analytics to develop dashboards and reports.
• Partner with Process Automation to identify automation opportunities.
• Work with Cash Application to resolve unapplied cash and other issues.
• Ensure compliance with policies and internal controls.
• Coach and develop team through performance reviews and training.

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of approximately 20 collectors responsible for drivingcollections and reducing outstanding accounts receivable balances.
• Demonstrate strong experience in managing US-based customers andstakeholders, ensuring effective communication and relationship managementacross multiple business units.
• Possess operational experience in US collections and/or customer serviceoperations, including both voice and email-based engagement models.
• Take end-to-end ownership of the collection’s portfolio, with a strong focus onresolving past-due receivables, particularly in higher aging buckets (30+, 60+,and 90+ days overdue). Ensure achievement of productivity, effectiveness, andquality metrics as defined by management.
• Monitor and communicate portfolio performance, including key metrics such asPromises to Pay (PTP), disputes, escalations, aging trends, collectioneffectiveness, and ongoing follow-ups.
• Drive collections strategy through regular reviews, root cause analysis, andimplementation of action plans to improve cash flow and reduce delinquency.
• Collaborate with the MIS and Analytics team to develop and enhancedashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide actionable insights intoportfolio performance and operational challenges.
• Partner with the Process Automation and Digital Transformation teams toidentify automation opportunities, define business requirements, and supportimplementation of process improvements.
• Work closely with the Cash Application team to investigate and resolveunapplied cash, unidentified receipts, deductions, and other payment allocationissues impacting collections performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and customerspecific collection procedures.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members through regular performancereviews, training, and feedback sessions to drive engagement and operationalexcellence.

What You Need to Succeed

Educational QualificationMinimum Graduation Degree, master’s in finance is preferred

Technical Skills10-12 years' experience into international customer service preferably into cashcollections.4-5 years of experience in team leadingSAP knowledge will be preferred.Strong stakeholder management skills

Soft SkillsGood communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)Strong process knowledge with focus on constantly improving productivityand processes.
