Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with 5–8 years of experience to lead Transaxle Assembly operations on the shop floor in Maharashtra, Chakan.

The role focuses on meeting production targets, quality and safety standards, and driving continuous improvement. You will coordinate with Quality, Maintenance and Planning teams, analyze defects, and implement root cause corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Automobile or Production, with relevant manufacturing experience.
• 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with TPM, 5S, KAIZEN and shop-floor initiatives.
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise Transaxle Assembly operations to achieve production targets, quality, and safety requirements.
• Handle End of Line (EOL) testing activities including leak, noise, functional, and performance validation.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, control plans, and quality standards.
• Monitor assembly line performance and take corrective actions for downtime, rejects, and productivity losses.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Production Planning, and Manufacturing Engineering teams for smooth operations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for productivity, quality, cost reduction, and process optimization.
• Ensure manpower planning, skill development, and discipline on the shop floor.
• Maintain production reports, EOL data, rejection trends, and process documentation.
• Support new model trials, line balancing, and process validation activities.
• Ensure "Daily work Management" and drive TPM, 5S, KAIZEN initiatives.
