Job summary

Yum! Brands in Gurugram is seeking a Chartered Accountant with 4-6 years of end-to-end accounting experience to manage month-end closings, global stakeholder communications, and control improvements.

You will liaise with auditors and prepare key balance sheet schedules, with exposure to direct and indirect taxation in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes process automation, standardization, and robust financial reporting for management review.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end closing activities for revenue recognition.
• Analyze MoM/QoQ/YoY variances in P&L and Balance Sheet and provide management commentary.
• Liaise with auditors to close Internal Audit and Statutory Audit findings.
• Prepare balance sheet schedules, bank reconciliations and clear aged reconciling items through investigations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to save time and enhance controls.
• Contribute to automation and standardization projects for the function.
• Prepare and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on a regular basis.
• Develop basic understanding of direct and indirect taxation.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Performing month-end closing activity for revenue recognition
• Analysis of MoM/QoQ/YoY variances in P&L and Balance Sheet items and provide commentaries for management reporting
• Adherence in assigned IFCs, liaising with Auditors for closure of Internal Audit and Statutory Audit
• Preparation of Balance sheet schedules including Bank reconciliations and ensuring clearance of aged open reconciling items thorough investigations
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices to save time and better controls in the process
• Involvement in automation and standardization projects for the function
• Preparation and updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) on regular basis
• Basic understanding of direct and indirect taxation

Skills Required

• CA-Mandatory with 4-6 years of experience in managing end-to-end Accounting plus exposure of dealing with Global stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills!
