Qualifications

  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities; experience supervising a diverse workforce.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in using computer applications and waste management software.
  • Familiarity with sustainability principles and circular economy concepts is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with district administrations and state govt. officials for project requirements and implementation plans.
  • Meetings with district administrations and state government officials to discuss requirements.
  • Meet with village panchayats to discuss budget allocation for the composting facility.
  • Collaborating with district administration officials and village panchayats to conduct surveys for site selection.
  • Conduct awareness campaigns to educate residents about segregating wet and dry wastes at the source point.
  • Planning and implementing waste management initiatives at the village level per established protocols.
  • Maintaining communication between Roundglass and stakeholders to ensure coordination.
  • Writing project proposals and engaging CSR funding agencies for support.
  • Conducting project impact assessments through research reports to evaluate outcomes.

Aboutthe Role: The Deputy Lead of Waste ManagementPlant plays a crucial role in the efficient operation and management of thefacility. They support the Lead in overseeing day-to-day activities,coordinating staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, and implementingwaste management strategies. The Deputy Lead works closely with team members,stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to maintain effective waste managementpractices and achieve organizational goals. What you’ll do:

  • Meetingwith district administrations (DC, ADC-D, and BDOs) and state govt. officials(MP & MLAs) for the discussion about the project requirements andimplementation plan.
  • Conductingmeetings with district administrations (DC, ADC-D, and BDOs) and stategovernment officials (MP & MLAs) to discuss project requirements andimplementation plans.
  • Meetingwith village panchayats at the block level to engage in detailed discussionsabout budget allocation for the composting facility. This includes exploringfunds from SBM G-2, 15th FC, MGNREGA, and panchayat, and defining the roles ofRGF and the panchayat in on-ground project implementation.
  • Collaboratingwith district administration officials and village panchayats to conductsurveys in the villages for site selection of the composting facility.
  • Conductingawareness campaigns, such as delivering lectures and organizing door-to-doorcampaigns, to educate village residents about the importance of segregating wetand dry wastes at the source point.
  • Planningand implementing waste management initiatives at the village level inaccordance with the established protocols of RGF.
  • Maintainingcommunication and engagement between RGF and key stakeholders, such as thepanchayat and administration, to ensure effective coordination andcollaboration throughout the project.
  • Writingproject proposals and communicating with existing CSR funding agencies tosecure financial support for the project.
  • Conductingproject impact assessments through research reports and publications toevaluate the outcomes and effectiveness of the initiatives implemented.
Requirements
  • Bachelor'sdegree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field. A master'sdegree is preferred.
  • 8+ ofproven experience in waste management operations, with a focus on solid wasteprocessing, recycling, and disposal.
