ReNew seeks a Deputy General Manager - Wind O&M in Gujarat to lead statewide wind operations and maintenance. The role focuses on achieving generation targets, improving turbine reliability, and managing budgets across multiple farms.

You will drive HSE adherence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement using SCADA and data analytics, while developing talent and coordinating with OEMs and authorities.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical is required.
• 20–25 years of experience in wind O&M or related field.
• Leadership of large wind assets and teams.

Designation: Deputy General Manager - Wind O&M

Qualification: BE/B.Tech - Electrical

Experience: 20-25 years

Role & Responsibilities:

1. State-wide Wind Operations Leadership- Lead the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) activities of multiple wind farms across the state. Ensure achievement of generation targets and operational excellence. Drive plant availability and turbine reliability improvements. Develop and implement state-specific operational strategies. Ensure seamless coordination among site teams, regional leadership, and support functions.

2. Asset Management & Performance Optimization- Manage the overall health and performance of wind assets. Monitor key performance indicators and identify opportunities for improvement. Drive asset optimization initiatives to maximize revenue and energy output. Oversee root cause analysis (RCA) of recurring failures and implement corrective actions. Coordinate with OEMs and service providers for performance enhancement programs.

3. Financial & Commercial Management- Own the state's O&M budget, cost optimization initiatives, and financial performance. Monitor operational expenditure (OPEX) and asset lifecycle costs. Drive productivity improvements and cost reduction programs. Review and manage vendor contracts, AMC agreements, and service level commitments. Support P&L objectives and business profitability targets.

4. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)Ensure implementation of all HSE standards across wind project locations. Promote a strong safety culture and zero-harm environment. Conduct regular safety reviews, audits, and compliance assessments. Ensure timely closure of audit observations and corrective actions. Lead incident investigations and preventive action plans.

5. Regulatory & Compliance Management- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, grid, and contractual requirements. Coordinate with State Electricity Boards, DISCOMs, SLDCs, and government authorities. Ensure timely reporting and documentation under applicable regulations. Support licensing, inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.

6. Team Leadership & Talent Development- Lead Site Managers, Plant Heads, Engineers, and operational teams. Drive capability development and succession planning. Ensure manpower planning and workforce optimization. Establish a high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.

7. Stakeholder Management- Build strong relationships with customers, landowners, investors, OEMs, and regulatory agencies. Act as the key escalation point for operational and commercial matters. Participate in management reviews, customer meetings, and strategic discussions. Ensure timely resolution of customer concerns and contractual issues.

8. Continuous Improvement & Digitalization- Drive implementation of predictive maintenance and condition monitoring practices. Promote data-driven decision-making through SCADA and analytics tools. Lead reliability improvement and operational excellence initiatives. Support digital transformation projects across the wind portfolio.
