Job summary

Tata Technologies in Pimpri, India, is seeking a test engineer to work on vehicle testing, sensor installation, and data acquisition. The role involves preparing test setups, calibrating sensors, and driving the vehicle across road profiles to validate load cases.

You will record observations, ensure test worthiness, and maintain build cards and supplier reports. The position requires familiarity with safety standards and experience with NVH instruments and related software.

Responsibilities

• Understands basics of vehicle aggregates and their function.
• Expertise in driving the vehicle as per defined load cases.
• Should have working knowledge about work guidelines, work instruction SOPs, safety quality standards, various sensors and data acquisition systems.
• Working knowledge of NVH instruments, sensors and basic knowledge of software.
• Prepares test setup layout, identifies the sensor locations, installs the test setup.
• Prepares the vehicle for test with required instrumentation.
• Calibrates sensors and transducers.
• Drives the vehicle on different road profiles of the test track for different load cases.
• Reports subjective observations during the test.
• Confirms test worthiness of the vehicle with fitment of components of required quality (as per build card), and keeps records of build cards, Quality / supplier reports.
