Job summary

Mavenir in Gurugram, India is seeking a field/technical role to support diagnosing, troubleshooting and debugging complex systems across electro/mechanical equipment and software. You will assist field engineers, technicians and product support in end-to-end problem resolution.

This role emphasizes hands-on scripting, virtualization, and network knowledge to support deployment and integration of Mavenir products for global customers, with focus on end-to-end delivery and active collaboration

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Docker & Kubernetes, OCP, and AWS; experience with VMware Tanzu.
• Linux administration, virtualization concepts, and network sniffers (Wireshark) usage.
• Scripting experience in UNIX/Linux and Python; familiarity with ITU-T/3GPP telecom standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and integrate Mavenir products for global customers.
• Perform integration & testing with telecom products.
• Configure software/hardware related to Mavenir products in test labs or live environments.
• Create documentation such as procedures, test plans, and designs.
• Participate in workshops, customer meetings and project activities.
• Coordinate with customers and project teams on technical issues and deliveries.

Role Summary

Specializes in providing assistance to field engineers, technicians, and product support in diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex systems (e.g., electro/mechanical equipment, computer, complex software, or networked and wireless systems).

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and integrate Mavenir products for our global customers.
• Integration & Testing with Telecom products.
• Perform software and hardware configuration changes related to Mavenir products in customer test Lab or live environments.
• Create project-related documentation such as method of procedures, acceptance testing documentation, high- and low-level designs.
• Participate in technical workshops, customer meetings and other project activities (End to End Delivery).
• Communicate and cooperate with customer representatives and project team on technical issues, deliveries, and project lifecycle plans.

Job Requirements

• Good understanding on Dockers & Kubernetes, OCP, AWS.and VMware Tanzu.
• Good understanding on Operating systems (Linux), Virtualization (VMware & other Hypervisors), usage of networking Sniffers (Wireshark ) & O&M tools .
• Hands on any scripting language preferably UNIX / Linux, Python.
• Ability to visualize E2E network & sensitivity around handling live network. Working experience on L2 and L3 switches from HPE, Cisco and Dell, Load Balancer etc.
• Basics of Mobile and IP network working & call flow, Overview of ITU - T / ANSI, 3GPP telecom standards / protocol is desired.
