Job summary

UPL in India is seeking an experienced Demand Planning professional with 10+ years in demand planning to drive forecasting accuracy, budgeting, and cross-functional alignment. The role focuses on coordinating with Sales, Marketing, Trade and Finance to align demand with supply and to improve forecast precision.

The candidate will manage monthly forecast maintenance, inventory tracking, and dashboard reporting, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Demand Forecasting: conduct monthly forecast maintenance.

• Coordinate with supply teams for production based on forecast and develop supply strategies.
• Monitor and report changes in sales forecasts, budgets and business strategies.

• Create dashboards with sales and internal teams to monitor progress and take corrective actions.

Job description

• Academics should be Bachelors or Masters in Agriculture
• Should have experience in Demand Planning with Agri background.

Job Responsibilities:

• Demand Forecasting: Conduct monthly forecast maintenance
• Annual Budgeting activity.
• Working with various teams (Sales, Marketing, Trade and Finance) to align the forecasted demand and finalizing the monthly rolling forecasts for business
• Demand Fulfilment: Coordinating with supply teams for the production basis finalized forecast. Working collaboratively with the team on supply strategies
• Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
• Inventory tracking
• Periodic monitoring of sales of planned sales vs actual sales in business; creating dashboards with sales & internal teams to monitor progress and take corrective actions if/where needed
• Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
• Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities.
• Providing the monthly estimate report to the region for the dispatches for affiliates & direct customers after analyzing the supply commits & logistics plans.
• Ensure customer satisfaction.
• Conduct monthly forecast maintenance.
• Complete Budget maintenance for 5 years

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Overall, Above 10 years of experience mostly in Demand Planning role.
• Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields.
• Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
• Well versed with MS - Excel & APO - DP & APO SNP
• Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills & Able to work with ease with Cross functional departments
