Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Demand planning, forecasting, and collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Category teams to incorporate market insights.
• Inventory and replenishment management across plants, warehouses, and distribution centers.
• Coordinate with Production Planning, Procurement, Logistics, and Sales to align demand with supply.
• Prepare dashboards and reports on forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, service levels, fill rates, and demand trends.
• Standardize demand planning and replenishment processes across the organization.

Role & responsibilities

Demand Planning & Forecasting

• Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual demand forecasts using historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions, and business inputs.
• Drive forecasting accuracy through statistical analysis and continuous demand review.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Category teams to incorporate market intelligence into demand plans.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and implement corrective actions to improve planning performance.

Inventory & Replenishment Management

• Ensure optimal inventory levels across manufacturing plants, warehouses, and distribution centers.
• Develop replenishment plans to maintain high product availability while minimizing inventory holding costs.
• Monitor inventory health, slow-moving inventory, stock-outs, and excess inventory.
• Define and review safety stock, reorder levels, and replenishment parameters.

Supply Chain Planning

• Coordinate closely with Production Planning, Procurement, Logistics, and Sales teams to align demand with supply capabilities.
• Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) by providing accurate demand insights and recommendations.
• Identify supply risks and proactively recommend mitigation strategies.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Prepare dashboards and reports on forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, service levels, fill rates, and demand trends.
• Analyze sales patterns and recommend planning improvements.
• Monitor key supply chain KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Process Improvement

• Standardize demand planning and replenishment processes across the organization.
• Improve planning methodologies through automation and analytics.
• Drive initiatives to enhance forecasting accuracy, inventory optimization, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with planning policies and internal controls.

Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Warehouse teams.
• Communicate demand changes, supply constraints, and inventory risks to leadership.
• Build collaborative relationships to ensure smooth execution of demand and supply plans.

Preferred candidate profile

• 8 -12 years of experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, Supply Planning, or Inventory Management within the FMCG or Food Manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of demand forecasting models and replenishment planning.
• Experience working with ERP systems and planning tools.
• Proven ability to manage inventory while maintaining high customer service levels.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
• Experience in driving S&OP processes and cross-functional planning initiatives is highly desirable.
