The role focuses on forecasting accuracy, collaboration with sales and marketing, and supporting new product launches while maintaining optimal inventory health across warehouses and channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Commerce, Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Demand Planning and Supply Chain Management with interpersonal skills.
• Experience in FMCG, Beauty, Personal Care, Consumer Goods, Retail, Distribution, or E-commerce industries.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual demand forecasts at SKU and channel levels.
• Develop replenishment plans based on forecasted demand and lead times.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, Warehouse and Logistics teams.
• Develop and maintain dashboards for forecasting, inventory, and KPIs.

Role Summary

Demand Planner will manage demand forecasting, inventory planning, and transfer orders across B2B, B2C, retail, and marketplace channels to ensure optimal stock availability, high fill rates and healthy inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Planning & Forecasting (Primary Responsibility)

• Develop and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual demand forecasts at SKU and channel levels.
• Analyze historical sales trends, seasonality, promotions, launches, and market dynamics to improve forecast accuracy.
• Lead the Demand Planning process and participate in S&OP meetings.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to capture business assumptions and market intelligence.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and implement corrective actions to improve planning effectiveness.
• Generate demand planning reports, inventory projections, and replenishment recommendations.

Inventory & Supply Planning

• Ensure optimum inventory levels across warehouses and distribution channels.
• Balance stock availability while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
• Develop replenishment plans based on forecasted demand and lead times.
• Monitor inventory health, slow-moving stock, stock-outs, and ageing inventory.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, Warehouse, and Logistics teams.
• Provide supply chain insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
• Communicate inventory risks, supply constraints, and forecast changes to stakeholders.
• Support new product launches, promotional planning, and portfolio expansion initiatives.

Reporting & Analytics

• Develop and maintain dashboards for forecasting, inventory, and supply chain KPIs.
• Analyze key performance indicators including:
• Forecast Accuracy
• Inventory Turns
• Fill Rate
• Stock-Out Percentage
• Inventory Ageing
• Import Lead-Time Adherence
• Present supply chain performance reports to senior management.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Commerce, Engineering, or related field.

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in Demand Planning and Supply Chain Management with exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience in forecasting, inventory planning & demand planning.
• Experience in FMCG, Beauty, Personal Care, Consumer Goods, Retail, Distribution, or E-commerce industries.

Technical Skills

Worli, Mumbai (Next to Acharya Atre Chowk Metro Station, Aqua Line)

Working Days:

5 Days a Week + 1 Working Saturday (3rd Saturday of Every Month)
