Job summary

Axi Group is seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to lead strategic technology initiatives across global engineering teams in Bengaluru. You will own end-to-end delivery planning, cadence, and stage-gate governance, ensuring on-time, high-quality outcomes while driving transformation and the use of AI-driven tools.

You will partner with stakeholders across regions, balance scope, time and quality, and optimize delivery processes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Delivery Manager, Scrum Master, Program Manager, or Tech Project Manager roles overseeing multiple teams.
• Experience running Agile/Scrum (or Kanban/hybrid) cadences end-to-end, not just attending ceremonies.
• Hands-on experience with story-point estimation, velocity tracking, and forecasting timelines.
• Ability to enforce process/quality gates under deadline pressure and communicate clearly.
• Strong stakeholder management with senior leadership.
• Fluency with delivery tooling and building dashboards to reduce status-chasing.

Responsibilities

• Define and optimize delivery cadence (sprint length, ceremonies, reporting).
• Own stage-gate criteria and ensure acceptance criteria and dependencies are met.
• Create data-driven delivery plans using backlog sizing, velocity, risks.

We are looking for an experienced Delivery Manager to drive the successful delivery of strategic technology initiatives across our global engineering teams. You will be responsible for owning the delivery lifecycle from planning through execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, at the highest quality, and with predictable outcomes. Your EDGE Assignment / You Will

Delivery Cadence

• Define, document, and continuously improve the team's delivery cadence - sprint/iteration length, ceremony schedule (planning, refinement, review, retro), and reporting rhythm.
• Ensure the cadence is followed: ceremonies happen on schedule, with the right people, producing real decisions. ·
• Adapt cadence to the needs of different workstreams (e.g., a fast-moving feature team vs. a compliance-heavy workstream) without fragmenting the organisation into inconsistent processes.

Stage Gate Ownership

• Own the criteria for moving work between stages (e.g., Discovery → Ready for Build → In Progress → Review → Release) and enforce them consistently.
• Act as the checkpoint before work advances: confirm acceptance criteria are met, dependencies are cleared, risk/compliance sign-offs are in hand, and Definition of Done is completed.
• Act when something is not ready and explain exactly what is missing and what is needed to pass the gate.
• Track and report exceptions/waivers when a gate is bypassed and ensure it is a deliberate decision.

Delivery Planning

• Build delivery plans grounded in real data: backlog sizing (story points/estimates), team velocity history, known dependencies, and risk.
• Convert scope and velocity into realistic timelines and communicate them as ranges with clear assumptions and confidence levels.
• Re-forecast the plan on a regular cadence (e.g., every sprint) as scope, velocity, or risk changes, and proactively flag slippage.
• Maintain visibility tools (burnup/burndown, roadmap views, RAID logs) that let stakeholders self-serve status.

Cross-Team Coordination & Reporting

• Be the primary point of contact for delivery status to leadership and stakeholders — translating team-level detail into a clear picture of progress, risk, and trade-offs.
• Identify and actively manage cross-team dependencies, blockers, and resourcing conflicts before they hit the critical path.
• Facilitate trade-off conversations (scope vs. time vs. quality) with data.

Process Ownership & Continuous Improvement

• Own the delivery process documentation (workflow stages, gate criteria, estimation method, ceremony structure) and keep it current, e.g. in Confluence.
• Run retrospectives that produce real process changes.
• Balance rigor with pragmatism — add process where it removes risk or ambiguity and remove process if not needed.

Are you the one?

• 8+ years in a Delivery Manager, Scrum Master, Program Manager, or Technical Project Manager role, ideally spanning multiple teams or workstreams.
• Demonstrated experience running Agile/Scrum (or Kanban/hybrid) delivery cadences end-to-end — not just attending ceremonies but designing and improving them.
• Hands-on experience with story-point estimation, velocity tracking, and forecasting delivery timelines from that data.
• Proven ability to hold a line on process/quality gates under deadline pressure, with the communication skill to do so without becoming a bottleneck or being seen as purely a blocker.
• Strong stakeholder management — comfortable presenting status, risk, and trade-offs to senior leadership.
• Fluency with delivery tooling (Jira, Confluence, or equivalent) and building reporting views (burnup/burndown, roadmaps, dashboards) that reduce manual status-chasing.
• Hands-on exposure to tools such as Postman and Datadog, with an interest in leveraging AI to improve delivery and operational efficiency.
• Proven experience delivering technology transformation initiatives, including system migrations, process transitions, or Global Capability Centre (GCC) setup and transition projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to turn ambiguous, fast-moving work into a clear plan and a clear narrative.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in [industry — e.g., fintech, trading platforms, regulated environments], particularly where compliance/risk sign-off is part of the stage-gate process.
• Certification such as CSM, PSM, SAFe, or PMP (useful signal, not a substitute for hands-on experience).
• Experience introducing or maturing a delivery process in an organization that didn't previously have one.
