Job summary

Big Daddy Chain of Casinos, Golden Globe Hotels Private Limited, seeks a Marine Vessel Support role to assist in mooring, deck maintenance, and safety operations on the casino vessel off Goa. This physically demanding, 24x7 position requires careful, disciplined work in a marine environment.

Candidates should have at least 10th/12th with ITI or diploma in nautical studies, valid CDC and STCW Basic Safety Training, and basic English/Hindi.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10th/12th pass; ITI/Diploma in nautical/marine studies preferred.
• Valid seaman's documents — CDC, STCW Basic Safety Training, and other statutory certificates.
• Prior experience on vessels or freshers with relevant certification may be considered.
• Good physical fitness and medical fitness certificate as per maritime standards.
• Basic English/Hindi communication skills.
• Ability to work in a marine, weather-exposed environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in mooring, unmooring, anchoring, and berthing operations of the vessel.
• Carry out routine deck maintenance — cleaning, painting, rust prevention, and upkeep of deck equipment.
• Assist in handling ropes, gangways, fenders, and other mooring gear during vessel movement.
• Support loading/unloading and safe stowage of stores, equipment, and supplies.
• Participate in fire, safety, and emergency drills as per SOLAS and SOPs.
• Operate and maintain lifesaving and firefighting equipment as directed.
• Assist Officers/Engineers with routine inspections and minor repairs.
• Maintain watchkeeping duties ensuring vessel and passenger safety.
• Monitor and report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the Officer on Watch.
• Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of deck areas, stores and equipment.
• Adhere to maritime safety regulations, port guidelines and company policies.
• Maintain grooming, discipline and conduct standards as per company policy.

Job description

Purpose of the Role

To support safe navigation, vessel maintenance, and marine safety operations of the casino vessel, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and smooth day-to-day marine operations under the guidance of Marine Officers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in mooring, unmooring, anchoring, and berthing operations of the vessel.
• Carry out routine deck maintenance — cleaning, painting, rust prevention, and upkeep of deck equipment.
• Assist in handling ropes, gangways, fenders, and other mooring equipment during vessel movement.
• Support the loading/unloading and safe stowage of stores, equipment, and supplies.

Eligibility / Qualifications

• Prior experience on vessels/ships/offshore platforms preferred; freshers with relevant certification may be considered.
• Good physical fitness and medical fitness certificate (as per maritime standards).
• Basic English/Hindi communication skills.
• Ability to work in a marine, weather-exposed environment.
