Job summary

Yokogawa Bangalore is seeking a capable engineer to contribute to engineering solutions, standards, inspections, and project management in a global automation setting. You will work with senior engineers to validate designs and ensure regulatory compliance across multiple engineering domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level required.
• Experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised (13 months to 3 years).

Responsibilities

• Engineering Solutions Design: develop and test feasibility of engineering solutions and provide data to validate designs.
• Engineering Standards Specification: support drafting of engineering standards and evaluate effectiveness of those standards.
• Engineering Inspections: evaluate quality of works and installations, recommend remedial actions.
• Contract Management: coordinate subcontractors and suppliers within a contract plan.
• Improvement/Innovation: identify shortcomings and address them via change programs.
• Knowledge Management System: support and advise on knowledge sharing platforms.
• Product and/or Solution Development: analyze customer needs and deliver products/services.
• Project Management: work within project plans to meet goals.
• Personal Capability Building: pursue development and accreditation.
• Health and Safety: ensure safe systems of work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Engineering Solutions Design

Contribute to the development of and implement feasibility testing of proposed engineering solutions to provide feedback and data to validate the design.

Engineering Standards Specification

Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards.

Engineering Inspections

Carry out inspections under the supervision of senior colleagues to evaluate the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and make recommendations to senior colleagues on the remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements.

Contract Management

Deliver required outcomes by coordinating activities of subcontractors and suppliers and acting as a primary point of contact for them while working within an established contract management plan.

Improvement/Innovation

Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.

Knowledge Management System

Help others get the most out of knowledge management systems by offering support and advice.

Product and/or Solution Development

Carry out a range of product and/or solution development and/or engineering activities. Use established systems to analyze customer needs and define and deliver products/service.

Project Management

Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals.
