Job summary

Siemens Energy India is seeking a seasoned Instrumentation & Control engineer to drive DCS modernization for hydro power plants, focusing on governor, protection and auxiliaries. You will join a global project engineering and commissioning team and travel for site activities. A BE/BTech with 6–10 years of relevant experience is required.

The role involves understanding DCS/PLC hardware, network topology and field wiring, with emphasis on reliability and safety of plant control systems.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in Instrumentation & Control for DCS in power plants.
• Ability to prepare software logic for Hydro Power Plant Governor/Protection/Auxiliaries.
• Knowledge of DCS interfaces to field and hardware wiring diagrams.

The Candidate should have 6 to 10 years of experience in Instrumentation & Control engineering and commissioning of DCS Systems for Power Plants.

How You'll Make an Impact

• You would be a Software Engineering specialist for DCS modernization projects for Hydro Power Plants specially for Governor, Protection and Auxiliaries.
• As part of your responsibility, you would contribute and become part of global project engineering & commissioning team for DCS systems.
• As part of your profile there would be requirement of travelling to many project sites in India and abroad for customer interactions and final commissioning of systems.
• You are a bachelor’s in engineering with 6 to 10 years of experience in Instrumentation & Control engineering and commissioning of DCS Systems for Power Plants.
• You’ve good knowledge of reputed DCS control systems Engineering and Commissioning.
• You’ve professional exposure to R&M of control system for Hydro Power plants.
• You have good experience with Hydro Power Plant process controls.

What You Bring

• Expecting 6-10 Years of experience in Hydro Power Plant process which covers Governor, Protection and Auxiliaries.
• Having ability to prepare software logic for Hydro Power Plant Governor, Protection and Auxiliaries in DCS/PLC.
• Having knowledge of DCS/PLC hardware components and working philosophy like Network Topology, Scan Time, various software building block, etc.
• Having knowledge of DCS interface to field and Hardware Wiring Diagrams.
• Having knowledge of I/O allocation in DCS.
• Having very good communication skill.
