Job summary

Infosys in Bengaluru is seeking a Datastage Developer to design and optimize large-scale ETL pipelines. You will work with stakeholders to clarify requirements and translate them into robust data solutions, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

You will collaborate with Solution Designers and SMEs, participating in scoping, estimation, and Agile ceremonies while applying strong analytical and communication skills in a global delivery context.

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing and developing large scale distributed data pipelines using Datastage related technologies.
• Expertise in Datastage ETL batch processing.
• Experience with data warehousing and ETL concepts and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and SMEs to understand requirements.
• Contribute to project scoping and estimation with Solution Designers.
• Translate requirements into technical solutions meeting quality standards.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide status updates in standups and reviews.
• Investigate and troubleshoot data issues with upstream/downstream teams.

Job description

Datastage Developer

Demonstrated ability to optimize ETL performance through efficient design, parallelism, and tuning approaches within DataStage/InfoSphere environments.

• Experience driving quality practices such as reusable frameworks, standardized templates, and review checklists to improve consistency and speed of delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management skills—able to clarify requirements, communicate risks, and align delivery plans with business priorities.
• At least 3+ years of experience in designing and developing large scale, distributed data processing pipelines using Datastage related technologies.
• Having expertise in Datastage ETL Batch processing
• Expericence with Data warehousing and ETL concepts and techniques
• UNIX shell scripting will be an added advantage in scheduling/running application jobs.
• Experience with cloud pak for data will be added advantage
• At least 3 years of experience in Project development life cycle activities and development/maintenance projects
• Work with business stakeholders and other SMEs to understand high level business requirements.
• Work with the Solution Designers and contribute to the development of project plans by participating in the scoping and estimating of proposed project.
• Apply technical background understanding, business knowledge, system knowledge in the elicitation of Systems Requirements for projects.
• Work in an Agile environment and participation in scrum daily standups, sprint planning reviews and retrospectives.
• Understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions which meets the project quality standards
• Ability to work in team in diverse/multiple stakeholder environment and collaborate with upstream/downstream functional teams to identify, troubleshoot and resolve data issues.
• Strong problem solving and Good Analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
